Why did Expo East 2020 get cancelled?
We have made the difficult decision to cancel Expo East, effective immediately. We feel this is a sensitive and responsible action considering the shelter-in-place restrictions in many areas across the United States and the recent announcement deeming the Atlantic City Convention Center a temporary field hospital to accommodate expanded capacity.
We are hopeful this crisis will be resolved soon, and we can then work together toward the recovery and rebuilding of our industry and our daily lives.
What happens now?
Please check this website for future updates for Expo East. Anyone already signed up for Expo East, exhibitors and attendees will receive additional updates regarding the next steps. Additional resources to support those affected by COVID-19 are posted and continually updated on the PPAI website.
All paid ExpoEast 2020 items (education passes, valet service, SAAGNY donations and the SAAGNY golf tournament tickets) are eligible for a refund. Experient, the official registration and housing provider for Expo East, will automatically process all refunds via a credit applied to the original method of payment.
Yes. All events associated with Expo East 2020 are cancelled.
If you reserved a room via Experient, Expo East’s official housing vendor, you will receive an email confirming your reservation(s) has been cancelled. You do not need to take further action.
If you did not book within the official PPAI hotel block, you will need to call and cancel directly with the hotel.

No. We will not refund individual travel costs. If you purchased travel insurance, please contact your provider for information and next steps. Many airlines are either waiving cancellation fees or considering the action that precipitated your cancellation. Please contact your travel provider to see if your ticket qualifies. We apologize for any inconvenience and challenges this may cause you.

For exhibitors, PPAI intends to comply and follow the Exposition Rules and Regulations for all exhibitor paid products, as found in section 11. CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT.
